I'm thinking about doing Piano lessons. I guess I need a piano first.
The gig next week should be MASSIVE. All the people I've talked to are psyched. I've got friends coming from the Hammer, Brampton, Toronto, and Woodstock and I'm so excited to see them. WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Fuck this week
Well this week sucks.
It started off with me crashing dad's SV out of like 10th place in the SV cup race on Sunday, followed by getting officially dumped by Angela on Monday. Wednesday was a real treat as it was time for the removal of all 4 wisdom teeth from my mouth, so you can see how it's been going.
My back still has a whole lot of fluid in it and it's sore as hell. My elbow's chipped, ankle's sprained, and my neck's pretty bad too. The teeth never really hurt too badly. I was just so hungry the two days following the surgery that it was a bother.
SHIT! and I just broke a guitar string.........

huh?.......
so the gig went really well on saturday.
Tupperware was probably the greatest thing since sliced cantelope.
so I'm standing at the bar and this guy comes up and says, "Hey man, you're pretty good, but why do you play a telecaster through a Marshall?" and he's giving me all this crap about how Gibsons and PRS's are guitars that should be run through Marshalls and not Fenders, so I stabbed him in the neck......well......not really.
But honestly.....Eff off eh?......if I wanted any input I'd have asked. It seems that every kid with a Guitar World magazine and an Epiphone is an expert these days. Not that epiphones are all that bad.

Sitting in his Nowhere Land........
Man, a lot of stuff has been going on lately.
We rocked The Alex on Saturday all night long. Tons of people showed up, which made me very happy.
I saw a couple bands on Letterman and Conan today that just blew. They were both billed as being rock and roll, but i think that term has lost it's meaning these days. To me rock and roll means something different.
I wish real rock and roll would come back soon. very soon. it is truly needed. to remind people that music was once a very pure and raw phenomena.
People need to realize that tracks shouldn't need 1000 hours of mixing, studio adjusted vocals, computer generated harmonies, and cosmetically beautified performers to sell records.
We need to go back to a time when drum machines didn't exist. A time when half of the albums in circulation were recorded at Abbey Road studios. A time when there weren't 7,000 bands out there. A time when you needed to be able to either sing or play an instrument to become famous. A time when punk music was really about rebelling and not about complaining that they won't let you skateboard at the mall.
Music came on 2 sides.
Bands had half decent musicians.
People didn't care what the bands looked like. ( Would The Guess Who or The Grateful Dead have made it if Teenbeat magazine existed? )
Good Charlotte sucks. Wanna know why? They're one of the most band wagon bands out there. Oh jeez guys punk's dying, we should totally start playing what people like again.
Don't even get me started on rap.
Dig out those Disco sucks t-shirts. We need a revolution.
A 12 bar Revolution.
As you may have guessed, I'm drunk.
And I just watched Keesha Shante on the Candada for Asia special.
She proves that all you need is cleavage and backup singers to make it.
She tries to make her voice do all those crazy note changes that all those beautiful black singers like Aretha Franklin and Mavis Staple could do, but she completely sucks at it and she deserves to be pushing a broom at Wolco.

The show on the weekend was increadably increadable.
I had lots of fun up there with the band, and lots of fun watching the other bands too.
Mark and Ashley ended up raising $602 for the Tsunami relief fund.
I bought a new accoustic guitar on Friday. Me and Myles sat there all day playing accoustics after we were set up, and I think that was the most fun I had of the whole night.
Also I was reunited with my long lost cousin Alex whom I haven't seen in fucking forever. Since we were younguns......he has a big beard now. It's weird.......little Alex......wow.......

EXAMS ARE OVER..........for now.
Wow, I just got back from Rosie's Underground, and holy heck what a good nigt it was.
Scotty couldn't make it to sing for us, so I had to pull double duty, but man what a fun time.
The Flamingo-gos are equally as exciting as they are gorgeous. Check them out.
